5525 Pacific Avenue - Station 4. Company 4 was relocated to 27 East Rose Street on November 27 1915. In the years after, the city grew north to the Calaveras River, the business district expanded (now known as Miracle Mile), and the city supported a growing College of the Pacific (now University of the Pacific). A new house was built at 2630 Bonnie Lane and became new Company 4 in March of 1942. The city continued to grow north over the next two decades and the house was relocated again. Because of an expanding shopping mall on northern Pacific Avenue, and the relocation of Stockton College (now Delta College) from Mendocino Street and Kensington Way to across the street from the newer mall area; the city needed to provide additional ladder company services and built the new location as a double house. The new fire house was occupied on December 1, 1967 by Engine and Truck 4 at a location on Burke Drive just south of Robinhood Drive (now known as 5525 Pacific Avenue). This house was dedicated on May 11, 1968.

6808 Pacific Avenue - Bank of Stockton - In 1968, President Eberhardt negotiated with Betsy Carson Gunton, the daughter of one of the Bank's original depositors, William McKendree Carson, for the purchase of the land formerly owned by her father. It is where Pacific Avenue and Benjamin Holt Drive in Stockton are located today. Carson was one of the county's earliest ranchers. He had a great influence on construction in the Stockton area, as well as supervising the building of the first 'Grand Hotel.' Carson acquired a Spanish land grant in the vicinity of the Five Mile House on Lower Sacramento Road and made his residence there. This piece of land was purchased for the purpose of the Bank's first "Branch Office," and it carried with it much meaning since Carson had his ranch there years before the Bank was founded. The Carson Oaks Office opened its doors in 1970 and continues to serve a large part of the Stockton community, accommodating numerous businesses and customers due to its convenient location.

7650 Pacific Avenue - Wells Fargo Bank - By the end of 1997, Norwest had become the 11th largest bank in the United States with total assets of $88.54 billion. With bank branches in 16 states, Norwest had the largest contiguous bank franchise in the nation. Its strongest markets were in Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, and Iowa. Having entered the Texas market only a few years previous, Norwest had built up a $10 billion presence there by buying 33 bank and trust outfits. Norwest Mortgage was national in scope, while Norwest Financial covered 49 states, along with additional operations in Guam, Saipan, Canada, the Caribbean, and Central America. Net income had reached $1.35 billion by 1997. Norwest had grown into this position of strength without completing any of the blockbuster mergers that shook up the banking industry in the 1990s, but in June 1998 theÊ Norwest Bank in Minneapolis acquired legacy Wells Fargo, renamed the combined company Wells Fargo and moved the company's headquarters to San Francisco. This was because Wells Fargo had stronger brand recognition and the combined company had $54B in California-based deposits, but only $13B in Minnesota deposits.
