Stockton's Miracle Mile grew from a few homes and fields assisted in the commercial development of Harding Way from the 500 Block west with Segarini's Market and east to Waterloo Road. 5 E. Harding Way - Paul Weston Home (1958)- Known at one time as 'The White Queen of Stockton,' Built in 1906 for Charles J. Hurrle, Stockton Glass Works manager. Sold in 1915 to Mrs. J. D. McDougald who bought it for her daughter, Carolyn Weston and son-in-law, Paul Weston, a local farmer and the second chairman of the Stockton port commission.

The restaurant was named after his wife, Minnie Woo. In 1954 In the late 1950’s, the Stockton branch of Minnie’s was sold to Gong Lee and his wife, Yuen Toy and renamed Gong Lee’s. The restaurant is still there, although now known as “Gongs” and no longer provides any trace of the hawaiiana décor
