The airport includes 2,481 acres at an elevation of 4,473 feet above sea level. There are three runways: 12/30 is 8,994 by 150 feet, asphalt; 3/21 is 2,650 by 75 feet asphalt; 11/29 is 3,197 by 80 feet turf.
In 2011 Gallatin Field was renamed Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport to associate it with Yellowstone National Park. International flights have been available since 2012, after a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility opened on July 1. The project was funded in cooperation with Signature Flight Support and the Yellowstone Club. In 2013, BZN passed up Billings as the busiest airport in Montana for passenger service with 879,221 passengers from June 2012 to May 2013.

Billings Logan International Airport(BIL, 423,213 annual boardings), located two miles northwest of downtown Billings, in Yellowstone County, Montana. It is the second largest airport in Montana, having been passed up by Bozeman in both number of gates as well as annual boarding in recent years, and is owned by the city of Billings. The airport is on top of the Rims, (a 500-foot cliff overlooking the downtown core). BIL encompasses 2,300 acres.
BIL has three runways. The main runway is Runway 10L/28R with a length of 10,518 feet and width of 150 feet. ILS/DME on 28R is at 3,738 feet MSL is the lowest approach. Runway two is Runway 07/25 with a length of 5,501 feet and width of 75 feet; this runway serves as the crosswind runway. Runway three is Runway 10R/28L with a length of 3,801 feet and width of 75 feet. This runway serves as the main runway for single engine and light piston aircraft. All three runways are asphalt. There are nine taxiways available use
