Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport(MSY) is an international airport operating under Class B airspace in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. It is owned by the city of New Orleans and is located 11 miles west of downtown New Orleans. A small portion of Runway 11/29 is in unincorporated St. Charles Parish. This airport is the principal commercial airport for the New Orleans metropolitan area and southeast Louisiana.
The airport was originally known as Moisant Field, and it is also called Louis Armstrong International Airport and also New Orleans International Airport. MSY is 1,500 acres ) of land. The airport allows check-in in advance so travelers may explore the city. The airport is handicap friendly and has many TDD phones and soft passages for people with disabilities who can easily commute. There are internet facilities within the airport. Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport( BTR), also called Ryan Field, is a public use airport situated four nautical miles north of the central business district of Baton Rouge, a city in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana The airport was originally Harding Army Air Field during World War II and was occupied by the United States Army Air Forces Technical Service Command as a maintenance and supply base. Today other than the runways, there are no virtual traces left of the military installation.
The airport consists of 1,250 acres at an elevation of 70 feet above mean sea level. There are three runways: 4L/22R is 7,500 by 150 feet with a concrete surface; 4R/22L is 3,799 by 75 feet with an asphalt surface; 13/31 is 7,005 by 150 feet with an asphalt surface.
The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport has many facilities for travelers. There are ATM machines, vending machines, a business center, a children's playground, a conference center, a non-denominational chapel, a reading room and a souvenir shop.

Shreveport Regional Airport(SHV) is a public use airport located in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is owned by the City of Shreveport and situated four nautical miles southwest of the central business district. The runways and terminal are visible to traffic along Interstate 20, a main east–west corridor of the Southern United States. Shreveport Regional was designed to take the place of the Shreveport Downtown Airport, which limited growth due to close distance to the Red River.
The airport consists of 1,625 acres at an elevation of 258 feet above mean sea level. It has two asphalt paved runways: 14/32 is 8,351 by 200 feet and 6/24 is 6,202 by 150 feet. The airport is located off Hollywood Avenue with easy access to Interstate 20. A good deal of the work on this facility was conducted by then Shreveport Public Works Commissioner H. Lane Mitchell, an engineer under whose jurisdiction the airport fell prior to implementation in 1978 of the mayor-council city charter.
The renovated terminal now features wireless access and a restaurant between the two security checkpoints. The airport is also an alternate destination for American Airlines flights that cannot land at Dallas-Fort Worth International and United Airlines that cannot land at Houston Intercontinental Airport because of bad weather.

Lafayette Regional Airport(LFT) is a public airport situated two miles southeast of Lafayette, in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. It is independently owned and operated.
LFT has 746 acres at an elevation of 42 feet above mean sea level. There are three asphalt runways: 4L/22R, 4,099 by 75 feet, 4R/22L, 7,651 by 150 feet, and 11/29, 5,400 by 148 feet. There is one helipad, 50 ft × 50 ft.
The airport is located next to U.S. Highway 90 (future Interstate 49) on the east side of the city, close to offshore oil and gas activity in the Gulf of Mexico. LFT is home to one of the largest helicopter companies in the world, PHI, Inc. (formerly Petroleum Helicopters Inc.).
Although the airport does not have international flights, regional jet service is operated nonstop to three hubs: Atlanta (ATL), Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) and Houston

The airport is operated by the England Authority, also known as the England Economic and Industrial Development District, an independent political subdivision of the State of Louisiana. Even though international commercial flight operations are not performed, charter flights for the U.S. military to international destinations are routinely performed from the airfield with this activity including the transportation of U.S. troops to overseas locations.
The airport contains 2,284 acres at an elevation of 89 feet above mean sea level. There are two runways: 14/32 is 9,352 by 150 feet with a concrete surface; 18/36 is 7,001 by 150 feet with an asphalt and concrete surface.
